For me, The Work of Byron Katie is a powerful yet simple tool for true inner liberation: when I look within, I can recognize, understand, and let go of the thoughts and beliefs that cause me suffering and conflicts. What a relief to realize that my suffering is not inevitable, but depends on how I perceive the world, other people, and myself.
I was born and raised in Lugano (Switzerland). After completing my commercial training, when I was working as a secretary in a trust company, my interest in introspection and self-exploration became increasingly clear. In 2002, I began studying psychology, graduating from the University of Bern in 2009 with a focus on clinical psychology, psychotherapy, and neuropsychology.
In 2005, a trip to India and the book The Embodied Mind led me to Buddhism and my first meditation retreats in the Theravāda Buddhist tradition. My encounter with Buddhism showed me that true freedom is possible—here and now. This realization became the central theme of my life. In the years that followed, I deepened my path, also in the context of non-duality (Advaita), especially through teachers such as Mooji, Adyashanti and Angelo Dilullo.
During and after my studies, I worked in psychological research for several years at the University Clinic for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the University of Bern. Both my master’s thesis (2008) and my doctoral thesis (2013) focused on mindfulness, meditation, mental health, and their interrelationships. After completing my doctorate, I decided to leave the field of scientific research and devote myself more intensively to music, dance, and contemplative practice.
The search for a concrete tool for self-exploration to complement my contemplative practice led me to The Work of Byron Katie in 2021. In 2022-2023, I completed a year of training as a coach in The Work with Anke Blaue. Since then, I have been sharing this transformative work with others with joy and passion.
I am currently furthering my education with a training in IFS (Internal Family Systems) as well as training in Inquiry-Based Coaching (IBC)™ and work with inner parts (Partswork).
